Colombia Meets Ingolstadt: Exhibition Brings Bogotá to the THI Auditorium

What does a city of millions sound like? What images do its inhabitants carry in their heads? Bogotá, the Colombian capital, will show its side on Tuesday, the 27th of May, from 6 p.m. - in the exhibition ‘El Parche: Millions of Stories in One Map’ in the THI auditorium.

On the Pulse of the Big City: the Exhibition Promises Interesting Insights into Life in Bogotá (Image: THI).

The exhibition was curated by students from Universidad El Bosque, THI's partner university in Bogotá. Using interactive maps, photos, and audio stations, they paint a picture of a city that is not revealed at a glance, but through sounds, stories, and encounters. Bogotá can be experienced as a living organism whose rhythm is characterised by the voices of its people.

The exhibition is complemented by visual works by THI students on the User Experience Design (UXD) programme. The contributions from the second semester deal with cultural similarities and differences between Germany and Colombia, creative, reflective, and very close to everyday life.

The title ‘El Parche’ comes from Colombian Spanish and means something like clique or circle of friends - a casual get-together in which people feel connected. It is precisely this atmosphere that the exhibition conveys: Bogotá becomes a network of relationships that invites you to discover it.

An evening full of impressions, perspectives, and new points of view - in the centre of Ingolstadt. Admission is free, the event is open to all interested parties.
