THI students as guests at California State University Northridge

Seven THI students spent five days at California State University Northridge (CSUN) in California in April 2026.

The group from the Industrial Engineering - Management and Digital Procurement & Sustainable Supply Chain Management master programmes was led by Gerd Schwandner, who accompanied them. The visit took place as part of the "International Project" lectures, in which scientific contributions to innovation management are developed. The organisation on the CSUN side was carried out by Jimmy Gandhi.

A varied programme of workshops, lecture visits, and insights into several areas of the company awaited the students on site. The programme focused on comparing innovation approaches in the USA and Germany.

In addition to the specialist content, there was also an opportunity for intercultural dialogue and to get to know the region around Los Angeles.

A joint publication of the results is planned. A further visit to the partner university is also planned for April 2027.
