Reunion, exchange and new insights: On 24 April 2026, current students and alumni of our study courses came together again on campus at Reimanns. After last year's successful alumni round-up, it quickly became clear that the format has potential.
The "Bachelor Energy Systems and Renewable Energies" (EEE), the "Master Renewable Energy Systems" and - new this year - the "Master Hydrogen Technologies and Economics" study courses took part.
After the welcome and a brief update on the study programmes by Prof. Sabine Bschorer, two alumni gave exciting insights into their career paths: a graduate of the Bachelor's degree programme in EEE and a graduate of the Master's degree programme in Hydrogen Technology showed how diverse the application possibilities are in practice today.
Afterwards, the practical side of things continued:
The foundation for many discussions was laid at the joint dinner before Prof Ertan Akgün presented the new "electrolyser with fuel cell" test bench setup in laboratory C026. This was followed by a change of perspective - in the truest sense of the word: on the roof of Building G, Prof Navarro Gevers gave insights into his field of research and current developments on campus.
The rest of the evening was dedicated to personal dialogue and networking between students and alumni - an opportunity that was used intensively.
We are already looking forward to the next meeting - especially in view of the upcoming anniversaries of our study courses and our research institute.
Anyone who was there knows that this was just the beginning.
