Our team event 2025: Creativity paired with sporting ambition

Playing padel? Many of us had never heard of this sport before, which is currently gaining popularity in Germany. But this was exactly the sport we wanted to try out as part of this year's team event. First, we all gathered in the office to draw teams. Padel is usually played in doubles. Once everyone had found their partner, we designed our team shirts in a relaxed atmosphere. With the help of stencils and lots of bright colors, there were no limits to our creativity. In the end, we created some great shirts – each one more beautiful than the last. 

After lunch, we set off for Schweitenkirchen. We had reserved all three courts at the Müllerbräu padel facility in the industrial park. After a short warm-up, our small tournament began with a total of eight teams. We played according to the Swiss system. This mixture of tennis and squash is played on a court measuring 20x10 meters. The glass walls and nets surrounding the court can also be used. We were able to burn off some energy and demonstrate our skills in five rounds of play. In the end, there was a clear winning team. The rest of the rankings were a neck-and-neck race. Our tournament ended after four hours of play. 

Somewhat exhausted but happy, we drove to Pfaffenhofen and ended the evening at the Müllerbräu inn. The next day, some of us were delighted to have sore muscles. 

We will remember this team event, which combined art and sport, for a long time to come.
