The focus is on the event "Start-up Opportunities: Dual-Use Innovation", which will take place on the 20th of May at brigk Ingolstadt in collaboration with THI as part of the Bavarian Start-up Days. The half-day format is aimed at start-ups, researchers, students, and technology-oriented companies who want to explore the potential of dual-use applications. This refers to solutions that can be used in both civilian and security-related environments.

The programme includes expert input from politics, industry, and research, practical perspectives on critical infrastructures and defence technologies, as well as an interactive workshop. Together with experts, challenges will be identified and technological approaches developed with a view to possible dual-use applications.

Tobias Gotthardt, Bavarian State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, will be one of the panellists. In addition to the technical contributions, the event offers space for dialogue and networking between the start-up scene, science, and industry.

The lecture series "Future Air Power" at THI will address key technological issues in the aerospace industry. The series, initiated by Professor Simon Schwerd, is held in collaboration with experts from Airbus Defence and Space and provides insights into modern aviation systems and safety-relevant technologies.

The next lecture will take place on Monday, the 11th of May at 4.35 pm in room G107 at THI. The focus will be on safe avionics systems and current requirements for safety-critical aviation electronics. In addition, innovative approaches for reliable and protected systems in aviation will be presented. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
