CALAI for universities, researchers and lecturers

The CALAI Latin America Centre at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences supports universities, researchers and lecturers in international networking and in establishing strategic partnerships between Bavaria and Latin America. Building on the university’s strong research profile and its close collaboration with industry, the centre creates new opportunities for joint research, innovation and teaching projects.

THI ranks among the top universities of applied sciences in Germany in terms of research strength and possesses particular expertise in areas such as mobility, artificial intelligence, sustainable technologies and digitalisation. CALAI leverages this strength to systematically expand international partnerships with universities, research institutions and industry partners in Latin America and to foster long-term collaborations.

Researchers benefit in particular from the facilitation of international partnerships, support for research stays and access to interdisciplinary networks. Furthermore, CALAI supports the development of joint project ideas, assists with funding opportunities and strengthens knowledge transfer between academia, industry and society. Through collaboration with partner institutions across Latin America, new research perspectives and international visibility are created for researchers at THI and its partner universities.

At the same time, CALAI promotes the internationalisation of teaching at THI by developing internationally oriented teaching formats and academic partnerships. Teaching staff are supported in setting up joint courses, virtual exchange programmes, guest lectures and international project work. The centre helps to integrate global perspectives into teaching and to strengthen the intercultural skills of students and teaching staff in the long term.

CALAI supports universities, researchers and lecturers in making targeted use of the potential offered by combining excellent applied research, international teaching and intercultural exchange.
